Guided by his passion for travel, culture, and cuisine, this bespoke adventure explores Mascota and Talpa de Allende—both honored as Pueblos Mágicos for their rich traditions and enchanting beauty. Just outside Puerto Vallarta, these towns offer an authentic escape where history, nature, and spirituality meet. With Chef Roman as your host, you’ll savor local flavors and uncover hidden gems, creating an unforgettable experience designed to delight all the senses.

The times below, except the departure time, are approximate and may vary based on activities, weather, and traffic. The experience requires a minimum of 8 guests and has a maximum of 12 guests; participants must be at least 18 years old.

Guests will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned Mercedes Sprinter van with an experienced driver provided by PVShuttles.com. Restroom stops will occur along the way, and water will be available in the shuttle.
Hotel accommodations will be provided by Copa de Oro, Boutique Hotel in Mascota. The hotel is in a converted colonial mansion steps away from the central plaza, and it is the perfect setting to experience this magical town.

Guests are encouraged to bring a small overnight bag, dress casually, and pack comfortable walking shoes (there will be walking for up to two hours on uneven surfaces) with a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Evenings can be cool, so a light jacket or sweater is recommended. The tour accommodates dietary allergies and restrictions, ensuring a delightful and personalized culinary experience.

8,350 pesos per person, double occupancy (7,200 tour cost plus 1,150 16% VAT tax).

8,990 pesos per person, single occupancy (7,750 tour cost plus 1,240 16% VAT tax).
Select drinks are included with each meal. The tour price does not include the coffee/bakery stop.
A gratuity (optional) will be collected at the end of the tour and distributed among the tour activity hosts. Guests do not have to tip during the tour.

Payments/Cancellation Policy
Much like Puerto Vallarta, Mascota enjoys a coveted high season from January through March. Given the intimate nature of our bespoke experiences and the limited number of accommodations available, we maintain the following reservation and cancellation policies.

A 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. Upon receiving your reservation request, Ventura Chef Services will send a deposit invoice due upon receipt. The remaining 50% balance is due 21 days before your tour date.

Deposits are fully refundable with written cancellation 30 days or more in advance of the tour. Due to the highly curated nature of our experiences, final payments are non-refundable.

Raicilla Tasting & Barbecue - Discover Jalisco’s traditional Mexican distilled spirit—Raicilla. Guests will visit Raicilla del Ciervo, MX, a local agave producer, learn about the production process, and enjoy a guided tasting of Raicilla, followed by an outdoor barbecue against the stunning backdrop of the region’s natural beauty.

Mascota and Talpa de Allende Tours - Explore the rich cultural and religious heritage of these towns with guided tours through their picturesque mountain settings. Highlights include the Templo de la Precios Sangre de Cristo and the Archaeological Museum in Mascota, and in Talpa de Allende, the Basilica of Our Lady of Talpa and a local candy factory. Stroll through the cobblestone streets and central plazas, where local life bustles amidst historic architecture.

Dinner by Chef Ventura - End Day 1 with an exquisite multi-course dinner prepared by Chef Roman Ventura at his sister Mauricia Ventura’s restaurant, El Encanto de Ventura. The menu will showcase local dishes thoughtfully curated to reflect the region’s culinary heritage. Wine is served with dinner.
